LET IT SNOW!

BIGGEST NOW IN YEARS!!
As the snow is slowly fading from our wonderful
Christmas Present from the heavens.....we sit back and reflect on the lovely meal before us.

Graystone Manor is constantly trying new ideas and testing in it's kitchen with all the herbs and spices. We hit the jackpot this time on the following recipe :

GRAYSTONE GREEN BEANS
1-2 lbs. Fresh Green Beans Cleaned & snapped
1/2-1 lb. smoked bacon
1 onion
1/4 c. cooking sherry
Clean green beans gently, remove all stems and snap or cut in half. Cut up bacon in small cubes and place on medium heat in large skillet. Add diced onions when bacon is half cooked. Brown the bacon and make sure onions have caramelized before adding the beans on top. Pour cooking sherry over top and mix in. Cover skillet for 10 minutes. Watch your beans to make sure you do not over cook them. They should retain the green fresh color and remain cooked but crisp.
This was a lovely addition to the Rosemary Red Potatoes and Apricot Glazed Ham. Here's to all our Guest's and hope everyone will have a very rewarding and Happy New Year!
