SUNDAY'S BREAKFAST

SUNSHINE AND COFFEE GREETINGS TO OUR 'CAROLINA IN THE FALL' GUESTS!
Rain showers ceased in the night and brought us a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the rest of the Music Festival. Today's schedule kicked off at 10am with the finest Gospel/Bluegrass venue around!
Graystone Manor's Guests enjoyed a lovely breakfast of Breakfast Apple Cobbler followed by a Turkey Herb Omelet, Thick Smokey Bacon and our signature Ginger/Carrot/Apple juice. Of course a never ending supply of our special blended coffee!
Yum, Yum.... Guaranteed to stick with you all day!
Can't get to the Graystone for Breakfast? No problem, here is our very own recipe for you to try:

BREAKFAST APPLE COBBLER

2 whole apples 2 c. biscuit mix 2 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar 1/2 stick butter 4 tbsp. brandy
1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. pecans

Core & cut apples in thin slices. Place apples, 2 tbsp. butter, brandy, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and 1/4 c. brown sugar in sauce pan and caramelize & reduce. Take 4-6 ramekins grease or spray inside. Mix biscuit mix with water to create dough. Spoon in dough into ramekins and make a well. Place apples and syrup from reduction into middle of each ramekin. Take remaining ingredients and mix into oatmeal to create crumble topping. May add pecans or use as top garnish. Top ramekin with oatmeal crumble & bake at 350 degrees 10-15 minutes . Be sure to place ramekins on cookie sheet for baking. (Created by Georgina Thompson, Graystone Manor Bed & Breakfast Inn, Wilkesboro, NC)
